We Teach Golf – Offering Unique Teaching Methods At Palm Springs Golf School

Posted by admin on 22 Diciembre 2009

Working to improve one’s golf swing can be challenging. The tools available to help a golfer are so numerous as to be almost overwhelming. Is it better to buy books on golf instruction, or videos? Do virtual driving ranges really help? The online community for golfing self-help is tangled and exhausting. Perhaps it would be most effective to just increase the time spent at the driving range. Maybe it would be worthwhile engaging the assistance of a golf instructor to revamp one’s swing from scratch. With so many options to consider, what is the best option for improving one’s golf game? The answer may be to focus on a different kind of golf instruction.

Bruce Baird, the founder and president of California Golf Schools, has developed an innovative technique for instructing golfers on their swing. Taught at the Palm Springs Golf School in California, Mr. Baird’s technique involves the analysis and improvement of a golfer’s natural rhythm and swing, instead of trying to force a golfer to adapt to a textbook swing. It has been ten years since Mr. Baird developed and shared this “short swing” teaching technique with instructors at California Golf Schools. They have since proven the effectiveness of this method many times over, as evidenced by the many success stories of their golfing students.

Well respected in the golf world for his golfing and teaching abilities, Bruce Baird developed his signature teaching method after observing that every golfer has a unique and personal style of swinging a golf club, the same way a musician or artist has his or her own style. Certainly one must learn the fundamental elements of any skill, but beyond the basics, each person evolves their skills according to their natural strengths, coordination and abilities. It is the goal of the professional instructors at the Palm Springs Golf School to build on each individual’s strengths and make small, natural adjustments to a golfer’s swing.

Mr. Baird’s unique method of golf instruction is taught at all the California Golf Schools. The Palm Springs Golf School at Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta offers the golfers the chance to improve their own personal style and swing in an exceptional location. The Palm Springs Golf School’s small classes – no more than four students – are conducted in a beautiful setting at the base of the Santa Rosa mountains. Part of each three day class includes on-course instruction on the Trilogy Golf Club course, which offers stunning views over the Coachella Valley.

The sun shines all year round at California Golf School’s Palm Springs Golf School. Expect warm weather, a thorough understanding of swing fundamentals, and gorgeous vistas across the valley. Look forward to a better understanding of your own natural tendencies and how to improve upon your strengths, and exceptional accommodations at Embassy Suites Hotel Palm Desert Resort.

TaylorMade R9 Driver on slae in wholesale Golf clubs

Taylor Made Flight Control Technology (FCT)
Change the face angle, lie angle and loft to affect side-to-side flight by up to 40 yards – 8 different club head positions.

How to adjust the R9 - The R9 has a small metallic sleeve positioned over the tip of the shaft. The shaft is secured to the club head with a specially made bolt in the bottom of the club head. The FCT bolt is designed to be retained in the well to eliminate the chance of losing it. At the bottom of the sleeve is a ring of small, gear like teeth, which tightly mesh with a second ring of matching teeth within the hosel. You can change the club head’s characteristics (face angle, loft, lie) by loosening the FCT bolt, removing the shaft from the head, rotating the sleeve and shaft into a specified position, then locking them into that position within the head with the FCT bolt.

Movable Weight Technology (MWT)
The R9 includes one 16-gram & two 1-gram changeable weights. This allows you to change the clubs center of gravity location to affect side-to-side flight by up to 35 yards. Put the heavy weight in the heel port to promote a draw, in the toe port to promote a fade, and in the middle port to promote a straight flight

FCT + MWT
Total adjustability for maximum flight control; up to 75 yards of side-to-side adjustability. Various multiple settings are made possible by combining FCT with MWT: Eight club head positions made possible by FCT multiplied by three MWT configurations: 8 x 3 = 24. 24 drivers in 1 club.

Futures:

1. TaylorMade Flight Control Technology (FCT) lets you change the face angle, loft and lie

2. Movable Weight Technology (MWT) lets you change the club head’s center of gravity

3. FCT and MWT together offer total adjustability to promote up to 75 yards of side-to-side trajectory change

4. Inverted Cone Technology increases ball speed and distance on off-center hits

5. New classic club head shape combines super-high MOI and easy-launching CG position

6. Fujikura Motore 65-gram shaft with High Inertia Tip (H.I.T.) technology promotes faster ball speed

Jack Nicklaus Behind Tiger Woods to Be Second

Posted by admin on 15 Diciembre 2009

golfs

Jack William Nicklaus (born January 21, 1940), also known as “The Golden Bear”, is regarded by many as the greatest professional golfer of all time. He won the second place in Greatest putters of all time.

Playing career: 1961-2005

Jack Nicklaus’ game has always been synonymous with power, but unlike most power players, he was a conservative golfer at heart — more strategist than gambler (he was the first one to mark course yardages in his own yardage book). This was especially true on the greens, where the Golden Bear often plotted to avoid three-putting before doing anything else. “I’m one of the greatest two-putters,” he once said. But no one can argue that when it came down to the most-heated, most pressure-packed moments, Nicklaus came through more often than not. If he hadn’t already beaten you from the tee box and green, he’d break you with a putt out of nowhere. Nicklaus’ putting greatness is more about the drama than anything else. He one-putted six of the final nine greens at the 1986 Masters to roar from eight spots back to claim his record-setting 18th major. Each one is a reminder of what legendary putting is all about.

Stroke analysis: Nicklaus never looked very comfortable when he putted, with his stocky frame bunched up in his familiar crouch. But he had a very repeatable stroke. He kept his head very still, and locked his left arm and shoulder in place, then simply pushed the ball to the hole with his right palm and forearm.

10 Things In Golf That Sound Dirty

  1. Look at the size of his putter.
    2. Oh, dang, my shaft’s all bent.
    3. You really wacked the hell out of that sucker.
    4. After 18 holes I can barely walk.
    5. My hands are so sweaty I can’t get a good grip.
    6. Lift your head and spread your legs.
    7. You have a nice stroke, but your follow through leaves a lot to be desired.
    8. Just turn your back and drop it.
    9. Hold up. I’ve got to wash my balls.
    10. Damn, I missed the hole again.

Why Golf Hypnosis Is Not Just a Placebo

Posted by admin on 10 Diciembre 2009

gosf

I noticed an advertisement for a golf training DVD which referred to golf hypnosis as “just a placebo”. It made me realize once again that the majority of people (who do not know what hypnosis really is) jump to this same incorrect conclusion.

Scientific research has in fact proven that hypnosis creates activity in a different part of the brain from that which is related to the placebo effect. Hypnosis is a very powerful tool in enhancing anything which involves using your mind, and golf has got to be the most mental game there is. Hypnosis is incredibly effective in helping you to get your mind around golf and to acquire the calm focus which this great game inevitably requires.

But let’s not knock the placebo effect either. The placebo is no little thing to be dismissed as insignificant. The placebo has enormous power. In drug studies it is acknowledged that the placebo effect is seen in 20 – 30% of participants; this is not to be “sniffed at”. The fact is that simply by thinking that something will work, it will indeed work for 20 – 30% of the population. It really does pay to be a believer, or to have a positive expectation.

Your mind works in such a way that if you expect something to happen, this is generally what you will subsequently see. The suggestions used by golf psychologists and golf hypnotists take advantage of this basic fact. If you know how your mind instinctively works you can make a choice to take advantage of it. To ignore the placebo effect is, to be perfectly honest, extremely wasteful and I would venture to say rather stupid.

And to brush aside golf hypnosis as “just a placebo” compounds that wastefulness even further. Hypnosis is a natural state of relaxation. In learning to use hypnosis you learn how to calm and relax yourself in an instant; this is pretty useful in the game of golf. Hypnosis provides access to your subconscious mind which is the part that acts instinctively and automatically, and it therefore enables you to program your mind to focus upon aspects of golf in the way in which you might like. Hypnosis provides a state of heightened awareness and focus which once again is more than a little bit helpful when you are playing golf.

I could go on and on about how golf hypnosis is the very best way in which to straighten out your game and sink those putts, but I think you know by now where I’m coming from! Please don’t dismiss golf hypnosis as “just a placebo” and do not dismiss the placebo effect either. Why not try it for yourself? The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and this is a particularly delicious pudding!

The Advantages of Wearing an Ionic Sports Watch

Posted by admin on 3 Diciembre 2009

Golfers

Emitting negative ions for better health

Research has proven that negative ions benefit people more than they think. When something generates negative ions and they are absorbed by our bodies, these create biochemical reactions which help our cells produce more serotonin to lessen stress and increase energy. Seratonin is a neurotransmitter in our cells that transmits nerve impulses. Therefore the more serotonin that is produced by cells, the more energetic we feel. By wearing your ionic sports watch, you can be sure to get a boost in energy while you exercise or work.

Emitting Far Infrared (FIR) for invigoration

Studies on FIR energy shows that this infrared ray is part of the spectrum in sunlight which is in its most natural form. This FIR has positive effects as compared to the detrimental UV rays that we usually protect our skins from. FIR energy has even been recognized by NASA to be beneficial so they use it in their spacecraft technology. FIR is also known to penetrate deep into our bodies and down to subcutaneous tissues where from its natural state it turns into heat energy. By wearing an ionic sports watch that releases this kind of natural energy, we can feel the benefits of the heat energy that is transformed within us. The resonance that we feel in the process makes our bodies feel more invigorated and has a positive effect in our bodily functions like the circulatory system.

Improving blood circulation

As mentioned before, because of the natural FIR energy that is released into our bodies, functions like blood circulation and metabolism are enhanced. These will further cause more effective and healthy fat burning and toxin flushing in the body. Because of the heighten circulation of blood in the body, the internal organs are adequately supplied with essential nutrients and oxygen. With these changes deep inside our bodies because of the ionic sports watch FIR emissions, we feel more energized and rejuvenated.

Increasing alertness

Further, because of improved circulation and bodily functions, every part of your body will feel a positive effect, as if all parts of it were recharged. Calories are more effectively and efficiently burned to support the different activities that you subject your body to which will make you more alert during work and during the times when being alert is crucial.

Enhancing immunity

With the FIR and negative ions entering the body through the ionic sports watch, you will also experience a boost in the functions of your endocrine system. In the long-run you will be less susceptible to airborne viruses and other illnesses and ailments that you used to suffer from.

Lessening stress

The overall effect of a healthier body and enhanced body functions to keep the body at optimal functional levels will promote the decrease in levels of stress, tension, and depression. You will find that you will feel energized and happier after experiencing the positive effects of wearing an ionic sports watch.

Recovering faster from fatigue

In the past you may have found that after exercise or a long day at work your body experiences fatigue that may require you excess amounts of sleep and rest for your body to recover. However, with increased negative ion and FIR energy entering your body and benefiting bodily functions, you will find that after long workouts or heavy work days, you will still be able to spring back into action to spend more quality time with family, friends and the important matters in life.

Mizuno MP68 Irons only 349.99 usd in www.mygolfwholesale.com

Mizuno MP68 Irons on sale in Golf wholesale

The new MP-68 Blade moves away from the cut muscle design that the MP-67 had and resembles the MP-37 with the muscle back developing from the toe area. The muscle back lines and edges however are smoother on the MP-68 than the MP-37 and some in Japan have said it reminds them of the classic MP-14 with its curved muscle back and sharp toe. Mizuno has also followed suit with its 2009 design guidlines by placing the running bird logo on the sole and the model MP-68 with new MP logo in the toe corner. The 0verall head and face is very compact and coupled with the thick muscle provide the purest feel of any Mizuno grain flow forged blade.

For the last several years pre release Mizuno head only sets have popped up far before the official release date. They look perfect to the untrained eye but when put on the scale the head weights are off and the hosel size often appears to be over or undersized. This has been the unfortunate case for many of Mizuno’s MP models in recent years but its a consistent pattern. Right now there are sets on ebay and in certain forums of possible fakes. Im sure if you contact Mizuno they will say these are not Mizuno authorized products. This confuses us because we have been under the impression for many years that Mizuno Irons were made in the Chuo factory in Japan yet the origin of these imposters are Taiwan & Hong Kong

Assimilating the best features of Mizuno’s great blades with an enhanced feel, the MP-68 delivers exact shot-making for professionals and highly skilled amateurs.

After research into vibration and sound (modal analysis), Mizuno R&D specified the frequencies required to create pure feedback and also the techniques by which to deliver them.

MP-68’s scalloped muscle back and shorter hosel allow a lower, more centered COG location for a penetrating, workable ball flight. Neutral bias allows shots to be shaped both left and right.

A 3D muscle pad enables Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged construction to deliver the purest feedback of any Mizuno iron.

Head shape, offset and turf interaction are designed around feedback from Mizuno’s Tour Workshops on the legendary MP-33. A more cambered top edge, straighter leading edge and compact PW create a look that surpasses even Mizuno’s previous blades.

This model is designed to conform to the 2010 Condition of Competition rule
